Visit Greater Palm Springs has announced that American Airlines will launch a new seasonal nonstop flight between Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) and Palm Springs International Airport (PSP). The new route will provide enhanced connectivity between the East Coast and Southern California’s ultimate desert oasis.
The new route will operate once weekly on Saturdays, beginning December 20, 2025 and continuing through April 18, 2026, for a total of 18 flights in each direction (36 total). The service will be operated on a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, offering 16 First Class and 156 Main Cabin seats.
“This new service from Charlotte is a tremendous win for both our destination and our visitors,” said Scott White, president & CEO of Visit Greater Palm Springs. “It not only provides travelers from the East Coast with easier access to our nine vibrant desert cities but also opens the door for more opportunities to experience our year-round sunshine, outdoor adventure, wellness offerings and cultural attractions. We are grateful to American Airlines for their continued investment in our region and their recognition of Greater Palm Springs as a premier leisure destination.”
With Charlotte serving as one of American Airlines’ largest hubs, this new nonstop route strengthens connections between Greater Palm Springs and key East Coast markets, making it easier than ever for travelers to enjoy everything the oasis has to offer—from iconic mid century modern architecture and world-class festivals to hiking trails, hot mineral springs and luxury resorts.
