The first Hyatt-branded hotel in Brooklyn, N.Y. has now debuted, adding a modern hideaway to the city’s cultural district. St. Louis-based Midas Hospitality and its partner Acres Capital developed the 104-room upscale hotel, The Livingston, part of the JdV by Hyatt brand. The 22-story hotel ties into local culture with curated spaces.
“We are delighted to bring the warmth of the JdV by Hyatt brand in a way that connects with Brooklyn’s creative energy for leisure and business travelers,” Linda Eigelberger, principal and chief commercial officer, Midas Hospitality, said in a statement.
The Livingston is just steps from the Barclays Center, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), and the Brooklyn Museum, as well as a host of renowned theaters, art galleries, and live music venues. Multiple subway stations are within walking distance, providing easy access to Manhattan—just 15 minutes away—and the rest of New York.
Located at 291 Livingston St., The Livingston, a pet-friendly hotel, hosts 15 rooms with balconies. Every room has dynamic city views. The chic, airy rooms and suites showcase a modern-industrial design with several amenities, including complimentary Wi-Fi, spa-like bathrooms with white marble showers, 55-inch TV, in-room safe, mini fridge, coffee maker, desk and lounge chair.

Guests can enjoy all day, locally inspired dining at the hotel’s full-service restaurant, The Grove Lantern, as well as social spaces that foster connection, including the lobby Goldfinch Café which serves premium espresso beverages and fresh pastries from neighboring bakeries. A rooftop 820-square-foot terrace is ideal for seasonal cocktail receptions, events, celebrations and casual gatherings, all with the dynamic backdrop of Brooklyn’s iconic cityscape. Brooklyn’s distinctive rhythm and culture is found in the hotel’s art installations by local creators and surrounding culinary offerings.
