Porter Airlines has announced a major expansion for its Summer 2026 schedule, marking a significant growth phase that includes a new destination, six new routes, and increased frequencies across its North American network.
Beginning in May 2026, the airline will introduce daily roundtrip service between Toronto City Airport (YTZ) and Nashville International Airport (BNA). This new connection highlights a broader strategy that sees the carrier growing its overall network by 20 percent compared to previous seasons.

U.S. Network Expansion
In addition to the new Nashville service, Porter is bolstering its presence in the Northeast U.S. The airline will launch new service to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) from both Toronto Pearson (YYZ) and Montreal (YUL).
The addition of Nashville is expected to be a key draw for leisure and business travelers utilizing Porter’s downtown Toronto hub.

We’re proud to welcome Porter as our newest airline partner at BNA and look forward to the start of service in May 2026.”
Officials at Billy Bishop Airport noted that the new route will coincide with operational upgrades at the hub.

This service will benefit from the new U.S. CBP Preclearance facility that will open in the coming weeks at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and will offer even greater convenience to our passengers.”
Domestic Growth and Hub Strategy
Porter is also restructuring select domestic routes to strengthen its Ottawa (YOW) hub. Effective May 1, service from Sudbury (YSB) and Windsor (YQG) will shift from Toronto City to Ottawa. This move is designed to provide passengers in these regional markets with better non-stop access to the national capital and wider connectivity across North America.
Additional domestic route launches include Toronto Pearson to Quebec City (returning service), Ottawa to Kelowna, and Hamilton to both St. John’s and Winnipeg.
Summer Extensions for Sun Destinations
Defying traditional seasonal schedules, Porter will extend several winter sun routes into the summer season. The airline will maintain service from Toronto Pearson to Cancun, Costa Rica, and Nassau, as well as Hamilton to Fort Lauderdale. Notably, Porter will be the only carrier offering summer access to sun destinations from Ottawa, continuing its service to Cancun.

The airline also confirmed capacity increases on existing routes, including Ottawa to Winnipeg (moving to 12x weekly), Hamilton to Halifax (doubling to 14x weekly), and Toronto Pearson to Deer Lake (increasing to 5x weekly).
Flights will be operated on Porter’s fleet, which includes the Embraer E195-E2 for longer-haul routes. The aircraft features complimentary Wi-Fi, no middle seats, and complimentary beer and wine served in glassware.
