Portugal Hotel Debuts New Space for Wine & Culinary Experiences

Octant Évora has announced the opening of Enoteca, a newly transformed space dedicated to providing luxury leisure travelers and intimate groups with immersive wine and culinary experiences. Designed for both connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts, Enoteca offers an array of  activities, including wine master classes, private cooking experiences, Chef’s Table dinners and more.

Previously reserved for meetings and events only, this venue has been renovated. With seating for 12 guests and a standing capacity of 20, Enoteca showcases approximately 140 wine producers and more than 300 wine labels.

Enoteca’s programming includes:

  • Wine Master Class: Monthly sessions with guest wine producers, offering in-depth knowledge of specific grape varieties, winemaking techniques, and the unique terrain of Alentejo. These sessions are complemented by exclusive wine dinners. 

  • Private Cooking Experiences: An interactive culinary journey for groups of up to 20 people, where participants learn to prepare traditional Alentejo dishes using fresh, local ingredients, paired with regional wines.

  • Wine O’Clock: A daily opportunity to explore a curated selection of white, red and rosé wines, accompanied by regional delicacies such as cheeses and cured meats.

  • Chef’s Table: Led by Executive Chef Natanael Silva, this intimate tasting experience is inspired by traditional Alentejo cuisine, showcasing the region’s culinary heritage with a modern twist.

  • Wine Tastings & Dinners: Featuring renowned Alentejo producers, these events offer the chance to meet the winemakers, learn about their craft, and taste their wines alongside specially selected menus.

  • Wine Shop: With a curated selection of wines, handpicked to represent the region’s diversity and quality, the shop offers the opportunity to take home a taste of Alentejo.

  • Private Meetings & Dinners: Groups can reserve the Enoteca space for private events.

Part of the boutique hotel collection Octant Hotels and located just outside the UNESCO World Heritage city of Évora, the hotel has 56 rooms and 16 villas, complemented by five swimming pools, a gym and a spa offering an indoor pool, sauna, two treatment rooms, and a Turkish bath.
