Travel Planners International Expands Advisor Support

Travel Planners International (TPI) is rolling out a series of new initiatives aimed at strengthening support for its more than 5,700 advisor members, including leadership changes, new technology partnerships, an advisory committee, and expanded training tools.

The company began the year by appointing Jenn Lee as president and chief marketing officer. Since then, it has unveiled partnerships with three CRM and software providers—Tern, Travefy, and TravelJoy—to provide enhanced technology solutions for advisors.

“These new relationships are part of our core mission to support our advisor community and provide them greater choice in how they do their business,” said Lee. “Our mantra is that it’s ‘your brand, your business, your identity. Let us help you build it.’”

TPI also formed its first Advisor Committee, composed of eight members who will serve as a bridge between advisors and company leadership. The committee will share feedback, best practices, and collaborate on planning events and sales programs.

New educational and onboarding resources are being launched under the Travel Planners Academy banner. One track focuses on helping new advisors earn certification, while another is tailored for experienced professionals.

The company also collaborated with advisors Effie Beshere Walthall of On Deck Travel and Cruise Control Marketing and Korrine Johnson of Cruise Business Blueprint to host an all-day cruise sales workshop, “Sell Smarter, Not Harder: Mastering Tools, Deals & Marketing.” The event combined practical sales strategies with real-world challenges and was described by TPI as “extremely well received.”

“We want to walk alongside our advisors and support them—providing an umbrella of options so they can choose what works best for them—so they can do what they do best: sell travel,” said Lee. “Through our new Advisory Committee our goal is to make sure we hear what their concerns are and what is working well, so we can be more flexible and nimble in supporting growth and finding solutions.”
