Turkish Airlines has yet again landed in the top spot, taking home the Best Airline in Europe title at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards — marking the 10th time the carrier has earned the prestigious distinction.
Often dubbed the “Oscars of the aviation industry,” the Skytrax Awards are based on feedback from millions of passengers worldwide. The 2025 ceremony was held earlier this month at the historic Air and Space Museum in Paris, and Turkish Airlines left with a trophy haul that included eight major honors, spanning both business and economy classes.
For travel advisors booking global travelers, the wins are a strong endorsement of Turkish Airlines’ elevated inflight service, culinary program, and expansive network. The carrier flies to more countries than any other airline — a Guinness World Record it still proudly holds — with a footprint across six continents and 131 countries.
In addition to Best Airline in Europe and Best Airline in Southern Europe, Turkish Airlines earned:
- World’s Best Business Class Onboard Catering
- Best Business Class in Europe
- Best Business Class in Southern Europe
- Best Business Class Onboard Catering in Europe
- Best Economy Class in Europe
- Best Economy Class Onboard Catering in Europe
The airline’s culinary offerings, developed in partnership with Turkish DO&CO, were consistently called out as best-in-class. While some airlines lean toward simplified service in the name of efficiency, Turkish Airlines has doubled down on quality, both in its premium cabins and in economy class.
“To be recognized once again as the Best Airline in Europe by our valued guests is a source of immense pride for the entire Turkish Airlines family,” Prof. Ahmet Bolat, chairman of the board and the executive committee of Turkish Airlines, said in a statement. “We are driven by our timeless tradition of Turkish hospitality, and we sincerely thank our guests and the Skytrax organization for affirming our commitment to excellence.”
Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted echoed the praise, noting the airline’s consistency and commitment to passenger satisfaction: “Turkish Airlines continues to deliver a carefully crafted product that resonates strongly with passengers – from the warmth of its hospitality to the quality of its onboard dining.”
For advisors, Turkish Airlines remains a strong option for clients seeking international connections, especially through Istanbul, one of the world’s top hub airports. The airline is also part of the Star Alliance network, making it easy for clients to earn and redeem points across dozens of other global carriers.
Turkish Airlines now operates a fleet of 484 planes serving 353 destinations, including 300 international routes. Despite that growth, the airline continues to emphasize personalized service and cultural hospitality as key differentiators in a crowded market.
