Amtrak has announced a limited-time “Falling Fares Sale,” allowing travelers to save big and enjoy the beauty of fall through the window of an Amtrak train. Customers can enjoy discounted fares for travel on routes across the country, giving that extra incentive to plan an autumn getaway.
As per the offer, travelers will enjoy up to 25 percent off regularly priced Coach fares. The offer is available for Coach and Acela Business Class for tickets booked from Thursday, Oct. 2 through Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025, for travel between Tuesday, Oct. 14 and Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025
Amtrak’s sale applies to most routes across the country, including Acela, Amtrak Cascades, Auto Train, California Zephyr, Capitol Corridor, Cardinal, Carolinian/Piedmont, City of New Orleans, Coast Starlight, Crescent, Downeaster, Empire Builder, Floridian, Heartland Flyer, Hiawatha, Illinois Services, Lake Shore Limited, Michigan Services, Northeast Regional, San Joaquin, Southwest Chief, Sunset Limited, Texas Eagle, and the Vermonter. Travelers booking during the sale can take advantage of Amtrak’s spacious Coach accommodations or Acela Business Class, featuring wide reclining seats, ample legroom, no middle seats, and picturesque windows.
“Whether for a short regional trip or a cross-country journey, train travel offers a unique way to experience autumn’s vibrant landscapes, charming towns, and big cities,” Amtrak Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Eliot Hamlisch said in a statement.
Guests can also join Amtrak Guest Rewards for free to earn points on every dollar spent, plus bonuses for Business Class and Acela First Class travel. Availability is limited, and blackout dates are Tuesday, Nov. 11, and Monday, Nov. 21 through Monday, Dec. 1.
