Carnival Cruise Line Opens New West Coast Sailings for 2027/28 Season

Carnival Cruise Line has announced new sailings for the 2027/2028 season aboard Carnival Radiance from Long Beach, highlighting two of the ship’s most popular West Coast ports of call: Ensenada, Mexico and Catalina Island

From May 3, 2027, through April 28, 2028, Carnival Radiance will offer a series of cruises to Baja Mexico from Long Beach. The schedule features three-day sailings calling on Ensenada, and four-day sailings featuring visits to Catalina Island and Ensenada. The Sunshine-class ship will also offer a special four-day sailing with back-to-back visits to Ensenada on Jan. 3, 2028, as well as a five-day Christmas cruise beginning Dec. 23, 2027, with calls in Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada, Mexico.

“We value our long-standing partnerships in Catalina Island and Ensenada, and appreciate the continued collaboration with these communities,” Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, said in a statement. “We look forward to continuing to bring our guests to these treasured ports of call.”

Carnival Cruise Line recently finalized a 15-year agreement with the City of Avalon, reinforcing a partnership that spans more than 25 years.

Carnival Corporation also recently announced Ensenada Bay Village, a new shoreside destination inspired by the culture and natural beauty of Baja California that is currently under development in Ensenada. Representing an investment of more than $26 million, the destination will enhance the port experience with a mix of adventure, cultural and relaxation offerings. Carnival hopes to have the Ensenada enhancements open to guests by 2028.

Short cruises from Long Beach remain a favorite among Carnival guests, offering flexible options for long weekends or holidays. Carnival Radiance, a 2,984-guest Sunshine-class ship, features popular dining venues such as Shaq’s Big Chicken, Guy’s Burger Joint and Cucina del Capitano, as well as entertainment and amenities including Cloud9 Spa, Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge and Alchemy Bar.
