Beaches Rolls Out Complimentary Buddies Program for Children on the Autism Spectrum, Bolsters Travel Advisor Support

Beaches is launching a free companion support service for families with children on the autism spectrum, available to travel advisors booking qualifying stays during Autism Acceptance Month. Travelers who reserve accommodations in April 2026 for trips between August 22 and November 2, 2026, will receive a complimentary Beaches Buddy—a specially trained, IBCCES-accredited team member providing one-on-one support for guests with autism.

The Beaches Buddies can assist for select hours or throughout entire stays, accompanying children during activities or providing respite in sensory-friendly settings. The offer is TA-bookable and fully commissionable.

The initiative builds on Beaches’ standing as the first resort company in the world to earn full IBCCES Autism Certification—a distinction the brand achieved through rigorous training in specialized service design, accessible programming, and sensory-conscious hospitality. The certification extends across the resort’s infrastructure: IBCCES-trained staff lead autism-friendly kids camps (with a 40-hour training minimum); a dedicated Special Services Team offers pre-arrival planning via toll-free hotline; sensory guides co-developed with IBCCES provide advisors with detailed ratings for activities and locations; and accommodations range from multi-bedroom suites to butler-serviced villas with private pools and kitchens.

New additions include the debut of Treasure Beach Village at Beaches Turks & Caicos—a 101-key development featuring spacious two-, three-, and four-bedroom suites with shared pools and dining venues—and expanded programming that includes autism-friendly scuba certifications and character experiences with Sesame Street’s Julia, a character with autism spectrum representation.

The brand will host its second Autism Inclusion Week October 19–23, 2026, at Beaches Turks & Caicos, following the inaugural event at Beaches Ocho Rios in October 2023.

Advisors seeking resources or booking guidance can access Beaches’ Special Services Team for tailored itinerary planning and pre-arrival consultation.
