Demand for a Dolly Parton-themed travel experience has proven strong enough to send a second plane into the skies.
This comes after the rapid sell-out of Flight #925, a flight which the airline says was one of its fastest selling to date. Passengers on the themed flight experience will enjoy Dollywood-themed entertainment both on board and on the ground as Allegiant and Dollywood Parks & Resorts team to transform the journey into part of the holiday itself.
“For us, flying isn’t just about getting from one place to another,” Drew Wells, chief commercial officer at Allegiant, said in a prepared remark. “It’s about creating meaningful connections with the people, destinations and experiences that matter most.”
The November departure coincides with one of the park’s biggest seasonal events. Travelers who purchase park admission will gain access to special experiences at Dollywood on November 7 during Smoky Mountain Christmas, an annual celebration featuring millions of lights and festive entertainment that has won the Golden Ticket Award for Best Theme Park Christmas Event 15 times.
Passengers can also book a lodging package at one of the park’s resorts – either Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa or Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort – which includes discounted stays, park tickets, transportation and resort credits for dining or shopping. The offer includes up to 25% off stays on November 6 and November 7, a $100 credit for food & beverage or merchandise at the resorts, as well as two Dollywood tickets with complimentary TimeSavers and trolley transportation to the park.
“Because the first flight was so popular, we know some guests missed out,” Eugene Naughton, president of Dollywood Parks & Resorts said. “We’re excited to offer another opportunity for travellers to experience the warmth and hospitality of Tripadvisor’s number one US theme park.”
