Hilton is heading deeper into the Dominican Republic with the signing of Almare Beach Resort Las Terrenas, Curio Collection by Hilton — a 252-key lifestyle property slated to open in 2028 on the Samaná Peninsula.
The resort, owned by DACC Investment Blu SRL, will sit in Las Terrenas, a destination that punches well above its name recognition with a strong mix of beach, adventure, and natural access — think pristine coastline, nearby waterfalls, whale-watching, and a short shot to Los Haitises National Park. It’s the kind of location that tends to sell itself once clients actually hear about it.
The property will split its inventory between 90 traditional hotel rooms and 162 residential units, with owners able to opt into hotel inventory. Select ground-floor units will come with private plunge pools. On the amenities side, guests can expect a beach club with private cabanas, four pools (adults and families both covered), a full-service spa, fitness center, two padel courts, and a dining lineup that includes a signature beach club restaurant, all-day dining, and a poolside bar.

For agents, the Hilton Honors integration means the usual loyalty benefits are in play across the booking.
The signing is part of a broader DR push for Hilton, which currently operates nine hotels in the country and has plans to more than double that number. Across the Caribbean, the company is eyeing a near-doubling of its roughly 50-property regional footprint. The Curio Collection brand specifically now counts 25 properties across the Caribbean and Latin America, with a goal to double that figure in the coming years.
“Almare Beach Resort Las Terrenas showcases the elevated qualities that guests seek from Curio Collection,” said Brooke Thomas, Hilton’s brand leader for Curio Collection. “This signing strengthens our presence in the Caribbean and Latin America and adds to a global portfolio of more than 200 remarkable properties, giving travelers more ways to experience Hilton’s world-class hospitality in extraordinary destinations.”
Almare Beach Resort Las Terrenas is expected to open in 2028.
