Accor has hit the jackpot in in Las Vegas, finally opening its first property on the Las Vegas Strip and its biggest hotel anywhere in the world.
The 2,884-room Treasure Island TI Las Vegas Hotel has officially joined Handwritten Collection. In true Vegas style, guests can enjoy a 24-hour casino, a Cirque du Soleil show, tropical pool, spa, restaurants, bars, a sports-betting area, showroom theater, games room, shops and enough entertainment to keep guests occupied. It also has direct access via walkways to Fashion Show Las Vegas and the Grand Canal Shoppes, placing more than 400 shops and boutiques within relatively easy reach.
There’s also plenty of choice when it comes to dining from premium cuts at Phil’s Steak House and American barbecue with live music at Gilley’s BBQ to Vietnamese cuisine, New York-style pizza, sports-bar staples and frozen yogurt. New Mexican and Italian restaurants are also slated to open in 2027. In terms of accommodations, guests can enjoy rooms and suites overlooking the Strip, the Sphere and the surrounding mountains.
The resort first opened in 1993 and now has joined Accor’s Handwritten Collection brand which launched in 2023 with the aim of bringing independent and characterful hotels into the group’s wider distribution and loyalty ecosystem while allowing them to retain their individual identities. And Treasure Island Las Vegas does have a lot of identity, with décor that nods seriously to adventure on the high seas.
Treasure Island will remain privately owned and continue trading on the spectacle, scale and slightly over-the-top appeal but will now have access to the French hotel giant’s global booking channels and the ALL Accor loyalty programme.
“Treasure Island TI Las Vegas – Handwritten Collection represents a milestone for Accor in the Americas,” Mauro Rial, chief operating officer for Accor’s North & Hispanic Americas division, said in prepared remarks. “As the hotel becomes part of Accor’s hospitality ecosystem, it will retain the distinctive character and identity that have shaped its story for more than three decades.”
The Handwritten Collection now has more than 50 hotels across 20 countries.
