The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) announced this week that ASTA Corporate is evolving into what it describes as the “unified, trusted voice” for travel management companies and corporate travel agencies.
The organization said the transformation will center on advocacy at both federal and state levels, original research, new corporate-only events, global partnerships, and expanded professional development programs.
Mark Meader, executive vice president of ASTA Corporate, said the initiative aims to “uniquely unite the corporate travel community like never before, giving TMCs and corporate agencies the influence, insights and advocacy they need to shape the future of managed travel as its trusted voice.”
As part of the shift, ASTA Corporate will launch a Corporate Travel Executive Forum on October 9, 2025, in Washington, D.C., providing a dedicated platform for corporate-focused decision-makers. In addition, a managed travel ROI study conducted with the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) and Prime Numbers Technology is expected in early fall 2025.
Looking ahead to 2026, ASTA plans to introduce corporate-specific training for travel advisors on topics including artificial intelligence, distribution, ESG, and sales strategy. Expanded mentorship opportunities, recognition programs, and joint content collaborations with global associations are also on the roadmap.
According to ASTA’s update to premium members, “Our mission is clear: to serve as the go-to thought leader for the corporate travel community—driving influence, delivering insight and advancing the future of managed travel.”
