Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is giving its namesake tower a $107 million makeover, with work touching every guestroom and suite, the guest room corridors, and the tower’s main lobby, known as The Living Room. Construction begins September 13, and renovated rooms will come online floor by floor starting in October 2026 — worth keeping in mind for clients with Atlantic City stays on the books this fall.
Avenue Interior Design, a longtime Borgata collaborator, is behind the new look, which draws on modern Italian design and fine tailoring for a warmer, more contemporary spin on the resort’s signature glamour. Guestrooms and suites will feature clean architectural lines and residential details in a palette of warm woods, camel and cognac tones, cream, deep blue, and burnished metals, with upholstered headboards, custom woodwork, and sculptural furnishings adding texture. Lighting and furniture placement are designed to steer the eye back to the Atlantic City views.
“From the beginning, we kept coming back to the idea of a beautifully tailored wardrobe for the guestroom and suites renovation at the Borgata … Our goal was to create a style, loosely based on Italian craftsmanship, that endured,” said Ashley Justman, co-founder and chief creative officer of Avenue Interior Design.
Corridors and elevator lobbies will get bolder colors, artwork, and graphic patterns, including a carpet with an abstract interpretation of Italian mosaic design, while The Living Room keeps its existing architecture but gains new furnishings and finishes to brighten the space.
The tower project is part of a property-wide transformation slated to continue into 2027. “The reimaging of the Borgata Tower is the latest step in our broader investment across the property as we continue to enhance the overall guest experience,” said Nik Rytterstrom, president and COO of Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.
