Condor Introduces New Nonstop Service Between Frankfurt and Chicago

Condor will launch daily nonstop service between Frankfurt (FRA) and Chicago O’Hare (ORD). Operating seasonally through September 12, 2027, the new route expands the airline’s North American network by adding one of the most important U.S. aviation and economic hubs. With the addition of Chicago, Condor will offer non-stop service to Frankfurt from 12 gateways in the U.S. and Canada.

Chicago is one of the largest cities in the United States and an international center for commerce, industry, finance, and culture. It is also home to one of the country’s largest German American communities. As one of North America’s leading aviation hubs, Chicago offers excellent onward connections across the United States while also serving as an attractive destination in its own right. Visitors to Chicago can experience world-renowned architecture, acclaimed museums, a diverse culinary scene, vibrant music and cultural offerings, and the unique waterfront along Lake Michigan. In addition, the city is an ideal gateway for exploring the entire U.S. Midwest.

“Chicago is an ideal addition to our North American network and a market with significant potential for both leisure and business travel. With this new service, we are providing our guests with convenient access to one of the most important metropolitan regions in the United States, while at the same time offering travelers from Chicago seamless connections to Europe via our hub in Frankfurt,” said Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor.

The new service provides travelers from the United States with an attractive gateway to Europe during the summer season. At the same time, guests traveling from Germany to visit family, friends, or business partners in the greater Chicago area will benefit from a convenient nonstop connection from Frankfurt. Via Condor’s Frankfurt hub, passengers will also have access to numerous onward connections to destinations across Europe within the Condor network as well as flights operated by partner airlines.

The route will be operated with the Airbus A330neo, the flagship of Condor’s long-haul fleet. The modern aircraft offers a premium travel experience across all cabin classes, featuring a particularly quiet cabin, a spacious interior, and a contemporary onboard product. In Business Class, guests enjoy maximum comfort with fully lie-flat seats measuring up to 6 feet 6 inches, direct aisle access from every seat, and a comprehensive premium service. Premium Economy offers greater legroom with increased seat pitch and additional amenities for an even more comfortable journey. Inflight entertainment and onboard Wi-Fi further enhance the travel experience. At the same time, the A330neo delivers significantly lower fuel consumption and reduced CO₂ emissions compared with the previous generation of aircraft.

Beginning with the 2027 summer schedule, Condor will also operate from Frankfurt Airport’s new Terminal 3. The state-of-the-art terminal offers travelers modern infrastructure, short walking distances, spacious facilities, and optimized passenger processes. Transfer passengers in particular will benefit from efficient connections between long-haul and European flights. Together with Condor’s expanding route network and its airline partners, this will create a seamless travel experience via the Frankfurt hub.
