In the middle of a successful inaugural season in Alaska, MSC Cruises has opened sales for its Summer 2028 Alaska itineraries, with MSC Poesia set to offer cruises from Seattle for a third consecutive year of sailings to one of the world’s most sought-after cruise destinations.
Beginning April 24, 2028, MSC Poesia will sail weekly seven-night Alaska cruises through September 18, 2028, giving guests the opportunity to discover breathtaking glaciers, abundant wildlife and charming coastal towns while experiencing MSC Cruises’ signature blend of European style and American comfort in one of the world’s most sought-after cruise destinations.

Highlights of MSC Poesia’s Summer 2028 Alaska itineraries include:
- Ketchikan, Alaska – Known for its rich fishing heritage, vibrant waterfront and Alaska Native culture.
- Icy Strait Point, Alaska – An Indigenous-owned destination offering wildlife viewing, outdoor adventure and cultural experiences.
- Tracy Arm, Alaska – A glacier-carved fjord featuring dramatic scenery, waterfalls and views of the Sawyer Glaciers.
- Juneau, Alaska – Alaska’s capital city, known for its glacier access, outdoor recreation and fascinating history.
- Victoria, British Columbia – A picturesque coastal city celebrated for its gardens, architecture and waterfront charm.
MSC Poesia Cruise Director Matías Chimicz has seen firsthand the moments that resonate most with guests. According to Chimicz, some of the highlights of the Alaska experience include:
- Witnessing Alaska’s glaciers up close, with stunning scenery unfolding around every turn.
- Spotting remarkable wildlife, including whales, orcas, bald eagles, bears, deer, otters and harbor seals. Guests have even been treated to whale sightings from the ship throughout the season.

MSC Poesia recently completed a major refurbishment and now features a brand-new MSC Yacht Club, the cruise line’s luxury “ship-within-a-ship” concept offering 69 suites, 24-hour butler and concierge service, and access to a private oasis of facilities including a dedicated restaurant and lounge, as well as a private sundeck with hot tubs, bar and grill.
The enhancements also included the addition of two new specialty dining venues—Butcher’s Cut, an authentic American-style steakhouse, and Kaito Sushi Bar, inspired by the Far East where guests can savor expertly crafted sushi and exquisite authentic Asian dishes.
Also on offer for guests is an enhanced MSC Aurea Spa and MSC Gym Powered by Technogym, complete with a Gentleman’s Barber and various workout studios, along with the Top 15 Exclusive Solarium outdoor area for Aurea guests.
Guests are already able to book MSC Cruises’ 2027 Alaska season, running from April 26 to September 27. At the start and end of its Alaska seasons, MSC Grand Voyages offer Panama Canal cruises between Miami and Seattle.
MSC Poesia’s 2028 Alaska season forms part of MSC Cruises’ broader Summer 2028 North American deployment, which includes sailings from Miami, Port Canaveral, Galveston, La Romana in addition to Seattle, offering a wide variety of holiday options across North America and the Caribbean.
