Riviera Travel River Cruises on July 14, 2026 announced the official opening of bookings for its 2028 river cruises. Featuring five of the cruise line’s top-selling routes, this launch allows North American travelers to book earlier than any other market, with better cabin availability, boosted savings, and increased choice of departure dates along the Douro, Danube, Rhine, and Rhône rivers.

The five itineraries now open for early booking, with limited-time savings of up to 50 percent off include:
- Highlights of the Douro Valley & Salamanca – During this eight-day river cruise, travelers can enjoy authentic local experiences with nine complimentary excursions. Highlights include visiting Guimarães, the birthplace of Portugal, and experiencing a UNESCO World Heritage awarded site. Originally priced from $6,499, guests can now embark on a journey through the Douro Valley for $3,249 per person.
- The Blue Danube – For eight days, travelers can explore Basilica, Salzburg, Vienna, and everything in between, taking in cultural monuments and architecture with nine complimentary experiences available. Originally priced from $5,099, guests can now sail along the river for $2,549 per person.

- The Douro, Porto & Salamanca – Passengers will begin in Porto, the home of Port wine, before commencing on an 8-day journey sailing through villages and medieval towns with 10 included experiences available. Originally priced from $5,799, travelers can immerse themselves in Mediterranean landscapes for $2,899 per person.
- Rhine Cruise to Switzerland – Passengers can enjoy 10 complimentary experiences while taking in the panoramic views along one of Europe’s most scenic waterways, with itinerary highlights like passage through the Rhine Gorge and a rail journey into the Bernese Oberland.
