HX Expeditions conducted its first ship turnaround in Nuuk, Greenland. Homeporting the Fridtjof Nansen in that Arctic port for the summer season, the expedition line, according to Seatrade Cruise News, is also now partnering with Air Greenland. Last week, that airline carried more than 500 HX passengers to/from Nuuk as well Copenhagen, Denmark, and Reykjavík, Iceland.

Carnival Corporation reported that it’s achieving significant progress in reducing food waste. Separately, one of its brands, Carnival Cruise Line, launched a “Funnel Faves” campaign for travel advisors.

Star Clippers opened its lineup of fall/winter 2026/2027 sailings, while Variety Cruises completed a fleetwide refurbishment project that began in late 2024. Variety’s Galileo was totally renovated, and overhaul work was also done on Harmony V, according to Cruise Industry News. Harmony G, Panorama, Panorama II, Variety Voyager, Pegasos and Callisto also have received maintenance and updates. Variety said that it’s also enhanced its staff training programs.
Cunard has inked a new Abbey Road Studios partnership to bring a new 60-minute Listening Lounge experience to music lovers on board Queen Elizabeth. The luxury cruise line has partnered with the recording studio to create a series of playlists packed with iconic recordings, each handpicked by the Abbey Road team.
