April U.S. Travel Agency Air Ticket Sales Surpass $10 Billion

Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) has released data showing April’s U.S.-based travel agency air ticket sales totaled $10 billion. This represented a 15 percent increase from April 2025. April also saw total passenger trips settled by ARC reach 26.4 million, a 3 percent year-over-year increase.

Results for April 2026 showed:

“While April’s average ticket prices were up year over year, month-over-month prices remained steady,” said Steve Solomon, ARC’s chief commercial officer. “We have another month of data demonstrating that traveler demand remains strong. Ticket prices and continued geopolitical uncertainty are not leading to a decline in the number of passenger trips.”

NDC transactions accounted for 20.1 percent of the total ARC-settled transactions in April 2026 — up from 19.6 percent in April 2025. In April 2026, 1,197 travel agencies reported NDC transactions.
