JetBlue has launched daily summer-seasonal nonstop service between Boston Milan, marking the carrier’s first-ever flights to Italy.
The new route brings JetBlue’s transatlantic nonstop offerings from Boston to nine destinations for the summer season, joining year-round service to Amsterdam, London Heathrow, and Paris, as well as seasonal flights to Barcelona, Dublin, Edinburgh, London Gatwick, and Madrid.
To celebrate the launch, limited introductory one-way fares are available starting at $399 in core (JetBlue’s economy cabin), $649 in EvenMore (the roomier seats in economy), and $2,199 in Mint (essentially, the airline’s business class) for Boston-originating travelers. Milan-originating travelers can book from €449 in core, €659 in EvenMore, and €1,799 in Mint. Fares are available for a limited time at jetblue.com.
Flights operate on JetBlue’s A321 aircraft, which feature the carrier’s Mint premium cabin with fully lie-flat private suites and restaurant-style small plates. EvenMore customers receive dedicated overhead bin space, complimentary alcoholic beverages, a premium snack, complimentary headphones, extra legroom, priority security at select airports and early boarding. Core customers receive complimentary meals from culinary partner Dig Inn, brand-name snacks, alcoholic beverages and free unlimited high-speed Fly-Fi.
“Launching service to Milan marks an exciting milestone for JetBlue and our continued growth in Boston,” Marty St. George, president of JetBlue, said in a statement. “As our first destination in Italy, Milan brings even more reach to our transatlantic network and gives customers, both in New England and across our network, the chance to experience JetBlue’s unique service across the Atlantic.”
The Milan launch follows JetBlue’s seasonal service additions to Madrid and Edinburgh last year and Barcelona earlier this spring.
